Safeguarding Children Training LEVEL 2
Develop an understanding of safeguarding children.
About this Training
Develop the confidence and skills to take action on concerns about the safety and welfare of children and young people. By the end of this session you will: ⦿ Understand the context of child protection in your geographical area. ⦿ Know how to identify different types of abuse and their signs. ⦿ Learn about the various types of intervention and the thresholds. ⦿ Be aware of what to do if you have concerns about a child. Who is it for ⦿ Those in regular contact or have a period of intense but irregular contact, with children, young people and/or parents/carers including all health clinical staff, who may be in a position to identify safeguarding concerns. ⦿ For example – carers, teachers, sports coaches, managers in a care setting, employment advisors, the police other than those in specialist child protection roles, sports development officers, disability specialists, ambulance workers (paramedics require level 3), welfare rights workers, community youth groups, faith groups, community pharmacists, rehabilitation workers, housing support officers and counsellors. An additional specialist safeguarding area / topic can be included in an existing training programme for an additional charge of £150. This will include an hour virtual meeting to discuss and agree your requirements.
