About this Training
Develop the confidence and skills to take action on concerns about the safety and welfare of children and young people. By the end of this session you will: ⦿ Understand the context of child protection in your geographical area. ⦿ Know how to identify different types of abuse and their signs. ⦿ Learn about the various types of intervention and the thresholds. ⦿ Be aware of what to do if you have concerns about a child. Who is it for ⦿ Staff in infrequent contact with children, young people and/or parents/carers who may become aware of possible abuse or neglect. ⦿ For example – administrative workers, Librarians, receptionists, catering staff, cleaners, HR staff, health and safety officers, recreation staff / assistants, drivers, laboratory staff, transport staff, porters, maintenance staff and volunteers.
